Turning the clock back twenty years, the story of Chinese robots making their debut on the global stage began right here in North America…

In 2007, when General Motors (GM) launched a global public tender for mobile robots, SIASUN successfully secured a place among GM’s global suppliers. Relying on solid technical expertise and an intrepid challenger spirit, SIASUN rewrote the history of Chinese robotics, breaking the cycle of “only importing, never exporting”.

North America is not only the “promised land” for the globalization of Chinese robotics but also the crucial starting point for SIASUN’s leap onto the international stage. Today, SIASUN has provided industrial upgrading services to over 4,000 enterprises across more than 40 countries, emerging as the preferred robot supplier for numerous Fortune Global 500 companies.

With nearly two decades of deep market penetration in North America, SIASUN has partnered with overseas collaborators to navigate industry cycles. From traditional manufacturing to emerging sectors, together we are penning an exciting chapter in smart manufacturing cooperation.

As SIASUN’s global strategic partner, General Motors has continually deployed SIASUN’s chassis assembly mobile robot systems in its factories across the US, Canada, and the rest of the world since 2007. These mobile robots primarily serve the chassis assembly stage of the automotive final assembly line, enabling high-precision synchronized conveying and assembly of the car body, chassis, and critical components. The solution offers stable pacing, accurate positioning, flexible adaptation, and cross-factory replicability. It effectively supports the standardization of GM’s global manufacturing system, demonstrating SIASUN’s extensive delivery experience and international service capabilities in core automotive assembly processes.

At the Mexican factory of a globally renowned, ultra-large electronic information conglomerate, SIASUN industrial robots have become indispensable “team members”. These robots efficiently transport LCD panels and perform online panel position corrections via a vision system to ensure precise alignment. Paired with specialized fixtures, the robots autonomously adapt to the vacuum gripping, film peeling, and assembly of panels of various sizes. The new generation of bezel-less televisions produced here is widely exported to numerous European and American countries. SIASUN’s robots continually inject “smart manufacturing” vitality into the leapfrog development of the Chinese home appliance industry.

SIASUN successfully developed a collaborative robot palletizing system for the US factory of a leading global medical device manufacturer. Integrated with an electric vertical lifting module, the collaborative robot performs high-density palletizing tasks—stacking 10 layers high and 12 boxes per layer—with stability and precision. The system features online barcode scanning integrated before the palletizing station. If an unreadable barcode or defective box is detected, the robot automatically diverts it to a designated No-Good (NG) rejection station. This automated quality inspection and defect handling provides a highly efficient automation solution for the packaging phase of medical tubing manufacturing.
